Serious question, a client in Denver told me my panel placement was 'asking for trouble'
He pointed out that I always put the main panel right by the front door where it's easy to see and reach. Said a pro could just kick the door in and rip it off the wall in 10 seconds flat. I started mounting them inside closets or utility rooms instead, even if it's a bit more wire. How do you guys decide where to hide the brain of the system?

My uncle's house in Phoenix had the exact same setup by the front door. It shows how we often put convenience first, even for important things, because we assume a basic level of safety. Now I look at my own front hall and see a dozen similar trade-offs.

My old boss in Tampa always insisted on front door panels for quick service calls. That Denver story made me rethink the whole security versus convenience thing.
