Spent a whole Saturday wrestling with a wireless zone expander that refused to link up
Turns out an old fluorescent light ballast in the basement was absolutely cooking the RF signal, took me 6 hours to finally walk around with a spectrum analyzer and spot it. Anybody else had something random kill their wireless range on a panel upgrade?

Wait, aren't ballasts usually the issue on the 5GHz band more than 2.4?

I heard fluorescent ballasts are notorious for spewing RF noise on the 2.4GHz band.
