Took me 4 hours to figure out a zone that kept tripping, turned out to be one staple
Had a panel swap in Mesa that should have been a 3 hour job, but zone 4 kept showing fault no matter what I did. I reterminated both ends of the run, swapped the resistor twice, and even ran a jumper straight to the can, still faulting. Turned out a cable staple from the original install was pinched so tight it nicked the conductor just enough to short when the attic got warm that afternoon. Pulled it, spliced it, done in 10 minutes. Any of you keep a tone and probe handy for stuff like this, or do you just start swapping parts?
