I always rolled my eyes at people saying the algorithm was eating their time until I actually checked my own screen time report on a random Tuesday and saw that a "quick scroll" after dinner turned into me watching 40 straight videos about restoring a 1972 John Deere, so now I want to know if anyone else had a specific moment where the numbers on your own phone made you admit the thing you'd been dismissing was real.
Honestly that screen time report hits different when you see it in cold hard numbers, and 4 hours in one sitting is wild but also so easy to do without noticing. Tbh the John Deere videos part got me because it's always some random rabbit hole you had zero plans to go down when you opened the app. That kind of moment really does make you stop and go okay, maybe those people weren't exaggerating after all.
