Breaking out of my music bubble with handmade playlists

Algorithms pushed me into a bubble of similar songs. I broke out by making playlists from scratch, and it's a relief.

For me it’s both. The surprise feels like a win because my own taste got me there, not some robot that thinks I only want one thing. It’s like firing an overeager friend who only suggests pizza and finally getting to try the taco place.
