Can we talk about that YouTube algorithm problem I spent 8 hours on last Friday

I run a small channel about restoring old fishing boats and I posted a 12 minute video that got zero views for three days straight. Turns out my thumbnail had a tiny copyright clip from a 90s music video that the algorithm flagged silently. Has anyone else had a hidden flag eat up their time like this and how long did it take you to track it down?

Got flagged for a 3 second clip of a seagull squawk I snagged from a nature documentary, spent the whole weekend rebuilding my audio from scratch. Guess my boat restoration channel got a little too nautical with the stolen bird sounds.

I read a study not too long ago about how our brains latch onto music we barely hear. It's funny how that works, isn't it? @kelly638 it could have been something just under the dialogue that stuck with me. I still remember a specific chord from a show I watched years ago that I can't quite place.
