Contrary to my friends, I think resume bots are fair
I've sent out dozens of job apps this month, and most get tossed by automated systems before a human sees them. My buddies say it's soul crushing and biased, but I believe it cuts down on clutter for hiring teams. It makes me tweak my resume to fit what they need, which seems like a smart move. Am I off base for not feeling angry about this?

Your take makes sense to me. Tweaking your resume for bots is just part of the job hunt now. It's practical to work with the system instead of fighting it. My friends complain too, but I get your point. Staying cool about it likely saves you a lot of hassle.

True! I used to hate the idea too until @jesse_fox changed my mind about just working with it.

Learning to chat with bots is the new resume skill, huh. Our career hopes depend on pleasing some lines of code. Modern life is something else...

Wait, Jesse Fox convinced you? That guy still uses Comic Sans in work emails. If he's the voice of reason here, we're in worse shape than I thought.
