Just realized my music app only shows me songs I already like

Last Tuesday I was driving through Portland and my playlist felt like a loop of the same 12 artists. I glanced at the "For You" mix and counted, 9 out of 10 tracks were ones I'd already hearted. The app knows I won't skip those, so it stopped trying to show me anything new. Has anyone else noticed their feed getting narrower like this, or is it just me? How do you force your algorithm to actually surprise you again?

Wait, you ever delete your whole watch history on purpose just to reset the vibe?

Three days ago I wiped everything on my main account and it actually felt like starting fresh, but then I realized I lost that one video I always go back to. @jasonallen, is this more about hiding what you watch from yourself or just wanting the algorithm to stop guessing wrong? Because I tried it once and my recommendations got way worse for like a week before it sorted itself out. Do you ever do it just to see if YouTube notices, or is it purely a mental reset thing?
