My grocery store app sent me to a checkout line with 9 people and I switched lanes manually

I trusted the stores 2 year old app to find the quickest line last Tuesday and it sent me to the one with the slowest cashier so I bailed for the self scan and now I just look at the actual lines with my eyes, has anyone else stopped trusting their grocery apps timing data?

The app sent me to a slow cashier line once and I figured the timing data was about as reliable as my old HVAC schedule. Now I just trust my eyes and the grumpy look on people's faces.
