My grocery store started rearranging shelves based on purchase data
My local Publix moved the pasta to the back corner because they track how people walk through the store. Now I spend an extra 10 minutes just finding tomato sauce. Has anyone else's store done this weird layout shuffle?

Oh man, I feel this so hard! My local Kroger did the exact same thing and it drives me crazy. Honestly, they moved the bread to the opposite end of the store near the dairy section, so now I have to walk past like 20 endcaps of snacks and chips just to grab a loaf. Tbh, I think they're counting on me grabbing a bag of Doritos on the way. Ngl, I've started timing my trips because I swear I'm spending 15 minutes extra every visit now just wandering around looking for basic stuff.

Exactly, they know exactly what they're doing with those layout changes. It's all about forcing you to walk through the snack aisles so you'll grab something extra on impulse. I've started making a list and sticking to it strictly, but even then I end up spotting something I forgot and grabbing it.

You ever notice how they always put the milk in the back of the store too? I swear it's the same trick they've been pulling for decades. My local store moved the cereal to the health food aisle last month and I spent 20 minutes looking for it before I gave up and asked a stock boy. He just shrugged and pointed to the far corner by the vitamins. Now I bring a printed map I drew on a napkin just to find my way around.
