My week was ruined by a dating app's 'improved' matching system

Last Tuesday, the app I use pushed an update saying it would find 'deeper connections'. For the next five days, it only showed me profiles from over 50 miles away, even though my radius is set to 15. It felt like the algorithm decided it knew what was good for me better than I did. Has anyone else had an app's 'upgrade' completely mess with how it works for them?

Tbh I just deleted and reinstalled the app. The new settings were stuck for me too. After the fresh install, I logged back in and my old radius and filters actually worked again. It was like the update never fully took. Maybe the app's cache got messed up.

Hey @jason_lewis3, my friend had that same cache problem last week. She did the delete and reinstall thing and it finally fixed her filters too.

Actually, I think phones back then just did less stuff. The more they can do, the more that can go wrong.
