PSA: Recipe sites now guess what I want before I know it
I remember when cookbooks were just on the shelf. Now every recipe site uses an algorithm to suggest dishes. It's like they're trying to read my mind before I even figure out what to make. Sometimes it's handy, but other times it just shows me the same things over and over. Makes me miss the surprise of flipping through pages.

Right? @kimr74, mine just learned the word 'avocado' and won't shut up.

Tell me about it! My recipe app keeps pushing "30-minute keto bowls" at me like it's my new life coach. Sometimes I just want to see a normal cake without it suggesting I swap the sugar for mashed avocado. The worst is when you look up one thing and then it shows you the same five variations for a week. Guess the algorithm skipped the chapter on subtlety and went straight to mind reader boot camp.

Bet the app thinks it cracked your secret desire to live in a world where avocado frosting is normal. It just gets stuck on repeat like a broken record.

That "mind reader boot camp" line... I used to think those suggestions were helpful, but now I get it.
