Shoutout to the fact that a dating app's algorithm showed my profile to my cousin
Found out from her last week that we were both 'highly compatible' matches, which is a weird thing to learn over coffee. Has anyone else had an algorithm serve up something that just felt plain wrong?

Oh man, that's rough. I once got shown my old boss as a suggested friend, which felt like a personal attack. These algorithms have no chill.

Yikes, that's a whole new level of awkward. My old roommate and I had a huge falling out, and a year later a social media app kept pushing her profile at me with "people you may know." It felt like the app itself was trying to stir up drama. That cousin match has to be the worst one I've heard though, that algorithm needs a serious reality check. What did you even say to her when you found out?
