Spent 6 weeks fighting my own playlist algorithm on Spotify

Every time I hit shuffle, it kept playing the same 12 songs from 2019, and I finally realized I had to delete 40+ songs from my library and start a fresh list, has anyone else had to nuke their whole history to get variety back?

Deleting 40 songs just to get a little variety sounds rough, but I’ve been there too and it does work. Sometimes you just have to clear the deck and start over.
