The algorithm pushed me 47 job openings last Tuesday and 31 were the same job at the same company
I opened the app at 8am with my coffee and by 9am I'd counted 47 listings, 31 of them the exact same warehouse job posted by 5 different staffing agencies with slightly different pay ranges. It took me 2 hours to figure out it was one opening and the app was just farming my clicks, which made me feel dumb for even trying. How do you all spot this stuff before you waste a morning on it?
That "5 different staffing agencies with slightly different pay ranges" thing is how they get you. I ran into the same setup a few years back, except it was nursing homes listing the same overnight shift under four company names, and I drove 40 minutes to an interview for a job that had already been filled. Now I just count how many times I see the same street address in one session, and if it's more than twice I close the app.
