Warning: Your 'for you' page is making you more lonely

Everyone acts like the algorithm just shows you what you like, but it's actually trapping you in a feedback loop of your own sadness. I saw my own feed shift from funny dog videos to just sad breakup songs after one late night search, and it took a month to fix it. How do you even break out of a mood the internet decided you're in?

Man that hits hard. My feed got stuck on sad stuff after a rough week and it just made everything feel worse. I started searching for random happy things like baking fails or baby animals to reset it. Took forever but eventually the algorithm let go. It's scary how much control it has over what we see every day.

Ugh, I read something about this last week. They called it "doomscrolling loops" and it's crazy how easy it is to get stuck. What finally broke your feed, just the baby animal searches?

Ugh, tell me about it. My feed once decided I was super into sad rescue dog stories for a solid month. It's like the algorithm is a weird friend who only knows how to make things worse.

Scary how much control it has. I just started a fresh account, total reset.
