When my grocery app ranked my usual store 47th after I left one bad review

Standing in the parking lot of a Kroger in Columbus, Ohio last Tuesday, I watched my shopping list reorder itself to push a store I'd never visited to the top, and when I tried to undo it, the app kept suggesting 'healthier alternatives' that cost twice as much, so I deleted the account on the spot, but now I'm wondering if the algorithm was punishing me for the review or just optimizing for profit, has anyone else fought back against a recommendation system and felt guiltier about the loss of convenience than the principle?
