Found an old civil defense map that rerouted my whole town in 3 hours

I was clearing out my grandfather's basement in Cleveland last week and found a 1962 civil defense map showing evacuation routes for a nuclear attack. The routes cut through streets that are now dead ends and use old railroad beds that don't exist anymore. I plotted them over Google Maps and realized the city planners basically copied the Cold War grid for the current highway system. Has anyone else dug up old contingency plans and seen how they shaped modern roads or buildings?

You check city records to see if those old routes match any current road names?
