My attempt at a world without cars fell apart after 2 weeks
Tried living car-free in Phoenix for a test run. Heatstroke hit day 3 and I caved during a grocery run. Anyone else realize some cities just can't work without personal vehicles?

Two weeks in Phoenix without AC sounds like pure insanity honestly.

Girl, you are stronger than me. Living without AC in Phoenix for two solid weeks would have me living at the nearest 7-Eleven just for the freezer aisle. Hope you found some relief with fans or a pool or something.

Not gonna lie, two weeks without a car in Phoenix sounds rough but people survive it all the time. There's buses and the light rail plus grocery delivery exists now. My cousin lived in Tempe for a year without a car worked fine just took planning. Maybe it's not the city that can't work maybe it's just not wanting to deal with the heat and carrying bags. Plenty of places in Phoenix have shaded bus stops and stores within walking distance if you pick the right spot.
