Picked the 12-hour train over the 2-hour flight for a Berlin trip, zero regrets

Had to choose between a budget flight for $60 or a sleeper train for $140 last spring. Picked the train because I hate airport security lines more than I hate slow travel. Woke up in the middle of the night somewhere near Hannover, saw the sky glow over a field. Got into Berlin at 7 AM, felt sharper than any red-eye flight. The extra $80 bought me a window seat, a real bed, and no lost luggage risk. Has anyone else swapped a quick flight for a slow route and found it worth it?
