Picked the Roman Empire surviving over the internet never being invented and I'm starting to think I made the wrong call

After a week of debating this at a dive bar in Cleveland with my buddy who runs a server farm, I went with Rome still standing in 2024 but now I realize we'd probably still be using bronze tools and speaking Latin with no way to order pizza online, has anyone else regretted their vote in this scenario?

The bronze tools thing would suck but imagine no Reddit arguments about whether Rome was actually good or bad, just people arguing in Latin about aqueduct maintenance.

WAIT, you think they'd STOP arguing about Rome just because they're speaking LATIN?
