That time the Roman aqueduct plan hit a snag in my bathroom remodel
I was redoing my 1920s bungalow near Portland and found the old clay pipe from the 40s was totally clogged with roots. Instead of calling a plumber, I traced it back to a buried cistern in my yard that the original builder had left. I spent 3 days rerouting it with modern PVC, but the weird part was finding a 1911 newspaper under the floorboards that made me think about how different infrastructure was back then. Has anyone else stumbled onto old tech that made you rethink a project timeline, or am I just cursed with OLD houses? lol
