The old rail map in Denver that made me rethink my commute

I found this 1920s streetcar map at a flea market in Denver last spring. The routes looked nothing like today's bus lines, but they hit all the same neighborhoods. I started tracing my own drive to work against it, and honestly, some of those old tracks line up with the busiest streets now. It got me wondering, if the city had kept the streetcars instead of ripping them out, would I even need a car? Has anyone else dug into their city's old transit plans and seen how different things could've been?

That old map idea hits hard. If they kept those streetcars, whole neighborhoods would look different now, less parking lots and more tight-knit blocks. But the car companies pushed hard back then, so we got stuck with traffic instead of trains.
