Finally beat my old watchlist backlog after 3 months of commuting

I used to just stare at my phone during the train ride into the city, but last Tuesday I realized I could knock out one episode of that 2006 mech series per trip. It took 3 months but I finally cleared 47 episodes and I feel like I actually paid attention to the plot this time instead of skipping to the good parts. Anyone else got a show that only works in small chunks like that?

Admit it, my attention span is so short these days that I need a train ride to even sit through a 22 minute episode. I tried binging a whole season once and ended up rewatching the same fight scene three times because I kept checking my phone. Give me those tiny 20 minute chunks any day, it's the only way my brain doesn't turn into static.

Wait, are we all just secretly watching the same three minutes on a loop now? Because I felt this in my soul. I tried to watch a movie the other night and legit paused it four times to scroll through my feed, then gave up and watched a 15 minute YouTube recap instead. The worst part is when I finally force myself to sit down and focus, my brain just starts buffering like a bad wifi connection. I swear my phone has trained me to need a fresh hit of something every 90 seconds or I start getting twitchy. Twenty minute episodes are the only thing that feels safe anymore, like a little snack instead of a full meal I can never finish.
