My whole anime watchlist got deleted right before the new season started

I spent like 3 hours last Sunday night updating my list on AniList, adding all the new spring shows. I closed the app and when I opened it again on Monday, everything was just gone. I didn't get a sync error or anything, it was just a blank page. I tried logging out and back in, but no luck. Has anyone else had their tracking list just vanish like that?

That's the worst feeling... happened to me last year with a different tracker. What finally worked was checking if I had accidentally made a second account with a different email. Logged into an old one and my list was there, just on the wrong profile. Maybe try any other emails you might have used? The support ticket took a week, but they restored it from a backup once I proved the account was mine.

My third grade email address still has a Goodreads account I forgot about. I once spent two hours trying to log into a site before I remembered it was tied to that old Yahoo account. The digital ghosts of our past selves are the real problem.

Ugh, been there. I keep a list of my old emails and passwords in a text file for exactly this reason.
