Saw the shift in sub quality over just 3 months

I started watching this show back in January and the animation looked crisp, smooth, like they actually had a budget. By episode 8 of April, every fight scene had weird still frames and characters talking with their mouths barely moving. Anyone else notice production values drop off a cliff partway through a season?

Damn, three times in one episode? That's rough. I remember noticing the explosion thing but didn't realize it was that many repeats. Makes you wonder if they just ran out of cash.

Bet you noticed it way more on a rewatch too. Once you spot the lazy shortcuts it's hard to unsee them. Did anyone else catch that the same "running away" animation got used like four times in episode 7?

Holy crap, wait you're telling me it dropped off that fast? I remember watching episode 2 and thinking the sakuga in that hallway fight was legit movie quality. Then by episode 7 or 8, I swear they just copy-pasted the same two frames of a character swinging a sword and called it a day. The worst was when the main character was supposed to be yelling in anger and his mouth just barely twitched. For a show that started so clean, seeing that janky reused explosion effect three times in one episode was just sad.
