Showerthought: The convenience store near Akihabara Station has a surprising anime corner
I was grabbing a drink after hitting up some shops last weekend and noticed a tiny rack of Blu-rays tucked behind the snacks at that FamilyMart by the JR exit. Had a full set of the original Evangelion series for like 3,000 yen each, which felt cheap compared to what I've seen online. Made me wonder if any other random convenience stores in Tokyo are hiding good finds like that or if it's just that one spot.

The FamilyMart by Suehirocho often has hidden game stuff too.

Tell @wendy131 that I think it's just overpriced modern stuff, not worth the hype.

Oh man, really? I've been in that FamilyMart a bunch of times and never spotted anything. What kind of stuff are you talking about, like retro games or new releases? Is it behind the counter or just mixed in with the snacks and drinks? I gotta know if I've been walking past something good this whole time.
