Subbed Fruits Basket beat dubbed Fruits Basket on one specific scene and now I check every show

I watched the 2019 Fruits Basket both ways last winter, sub first then dub, and the scene where Tohru talks to Kyo on the roof in episode 24 is totally different. In the sub she sounds like she is holding back tears the whole time, in the dub she sounds like she already cried and got it over with, which kills the tension for me. It only took maybe 10 minutes of flipping back and forth to notice, and now that is what I do before I pick a version. Does anyone else have one scene that made the call for them, or do you just go with whatever you started first?
