The dub vs sub comment that finally made it click

Someone in a thread about Frieren said dubs let them notice background music they'd totally missed in subs, and that got me thinking about how I've watched most of my shows late at night with headphones. Last week I rewatched episode 6 of Apothecary Diaries with the dub on a whim and caught sound design details that changed a whole scene for me. Has anyone else had a rewatch flip their opinion on a show just because of the audio track?
