Found a letter I wrote to my high school friend in an old box
I was cleaning out my closet in Phoenix and found a folded note from 2012. It was an apology for spreading a rumor about her liking a certain guy. I wrote it but never gave it to her because I was too scared. We stopped talking a month later. Has anyone else found an old unsent apology and felt that instant gut punch?

Oh man, does that ever bring back memories. I used to do that all the time in my old notebooks. What did yours say? I’d write these weirdly serious notes to my future self, like “remember to buy milk” or “don’t forget how you feel right now.” It’s funny to look back on them now.
