Found a trick for writing apology letters that actually gets them out of your head

Honestly, I used to sit on apology letters for months, just drafting them over and over in my head but never putting pen to paper. What finally worked for me was setting a timer for exactly 7 minutes and forcing myself to write the entire thing without stopping or editing. No deleting, no fixing spelling, just a raw dump of everything I wanted to say. After the timer goes off, I set the letter aside for 24 hours, then I go back and cut it down to like 5 sentences max. The problem was I always wanted it to be perfect, but that perfect version never existed. Has anyone else found a weird writing rule that helped them finally send something?

That timer trick is actually pretty smart, might have to steal it.

3 years of living alone taught me that small optimization tricks like that (the timer thing) are basically life hacks for keeping your head above water when nobody else is around to remind you. It's wild how those tiny systems can stop a whole day from derailing.

Used to roll my eyes at stuff like that, but living alone for a year completely flipped my view. Isn't it funny how the smallest routines can be the difference between a good day and a total mess?
