Found an old notebook from my first year in business and it's full of apologies I never sent

I was cleaning out a storage unit in Springfield last weekend and found a box of my old stuff from when I first started my flooring company. There was this blue notebook from 2018, and when I opened it, the first ten pages were just drafts of apology letters to my first few clients. I mean, I wrote them for little things, like being 20 minutes late or a tiny seam imperfection I noticed that they probably never did. I never sent a single one because I thought it made me look weak. Has anyone else found something like this and actually sent one years later, or is that just weird?

That hits home. I found a stack of old job sheets from my first year with notes scribbled in the margins, things like "forgot the hand truck" or "charged too much for that last minute add-on." I remember feeling sick over every little mistake. Sending one now might be strange, but reading them sure shows how much you cared, even back then.

Three years in I found an invoice from my second month where I literally wrote "Remember to breathe" at the top. Man, that one hurt to read but it hit different now. It's wild how the panic fades but the proof that you gave a damn sticks around.

Ever keep any of those old notes around... or did you toss them once you got past that stage?
