I wrote an apology letter to my old foreman and burned it in my backyard fire pit.
I was still mad about how things ended on that Phoenix job site two years ago, but writing it all down felt like pulling a splinter out. When I lit the paper, I didn't feel relief, just a weird kind of tired. Has anyone else tried something like this and actually felt better after?

Phoenix, huh, did you ever tell @stone.lisa what that foreman actually did?

That weird tired feeling after burning it is the relief, it just doesn't feel like you thought it would.

That Phoenix heat really cooks the crazy right into people. I tried this after a bad breakup and it felt like I was just making smoke out of my own anger. The tired feeling is your brain finally letting go of all that weight you been carrying. It's not a happy relief, it's more like a heavy sigh that empties you out. Give it a few days and you'll notice you just don't think about that foreman as much anymore. Burning the letter works, it just works in a quiet way that don't announce itself.
