Never apologized to my neighbor for that dog thing in 2019
I was living in an apartment on 3rd Street back in 2019. My dog barked every morning at 6 AM right through the wall to her bedroom. She left a note on my door that said "please do something about the dog" and I just ignored it for 2 weeks. I told myself I was too busy at work but really I just didn't want to deal with it. She moved out 3 months later and I still think about how that note probably made her feel. Has anyone else ended up regretting a small thing like that with someone you barely knew?

Blew that chance like my dog blew your sleep schedule, huh.

3rd Street, I remember that complex. Had a friend who lived there and the walls were basically cardboard. But heres the thing nobody else is saying - maybe that note wasn't just about the barking. Maybe it was the last straw for her. People dont move out over one thing, they move out because of a bunch of small things piling up. You ignoring that note might have been the moment she realized nobody in that building cared about their neighbors. So yeah, you probably helped her decide to leave, but that might have been for the best if she was already unhappy there.

Alright, I used to be on the "maybe it's just a bad day" side of this argument. But you're right, people don't bail over a single barking dog. That note was probably just the final nail, and she was already packing her bags in her head.
