Picked a destination wedding over my sister's graduation and I still feel like crap about it
Back in 2019, my best friend got married in Mexico and my little sister graduated college on the exact same weekend. I chose the wedding. I figured my sister would understand, graduation happens every year for different people, right? But she didn't talk to me for like 4 months after. We're cool now but I still wonder if I made the wrong call. Has anyone else had to pick between two important things and just guessed wrong?

Start laughing because honestly @avery_flores17 this is so dramatic lol. Your graduation was probably fine and you're acting like it was a tragedy. People graduate all the time, it's not like you climbed Everest or something. Getting a piece of paper while wearing a silly hat doesn't make you special. There are millions of people doing the same thing every year and nobody cares about yours specifically. Maybe focus on how you're gonna pay back those student loans instead of fishing for sympathy.

Ha! Exactly what I was thinking @violar35. My own graduation was basically just a crowded auditorium with a boring speech about "the future" that nobody remembered ten minutes later. I get wanting to mark the moment, but calling it a "tragedy" is a bit much when most of us just posed for a picture and then went to Applebee's.
