Shoutout to the guy in Tulsa who told me my apology was really just a complaint list
He said I listed 6 things she did wrong before I got to one sorry, so I threw out that version and started every draft after with the word sorry first, and now every apology I write is one sentence, no reasons, no buts, which is why the one to my dad from 2017 still sits unsent but at least it sounds like a sorry now.
