Still owe Dave an apology for the burnt brisket at his 4th of July party in Tulsa
Three summers ago I showed up to Dave's backyard party in Tulsa with a brisket I'd smoked for 11 hours, and he took one bite and said 'this tastes like a campfire regret' right in front of his whole family. I laughed it off, but I never sent the note I wrote on a napkin that night saying sorry for wrecking the main dish and for not just ordering pizza like a normal guest. Is it weird that I still think about that napkin sitting in my junk drawer, and does anyone else have a sorry note they keep meaning to finish?
