The apology I owe my uncle for ignoring his business advice

My uncle Bob told me back in 2018 to not buy that Chevy Silverado with 120k miles on it. I thought I knew better because it was cheap at $8,000. Transmission blew at 125k miles and cost me $4,200 to replace. Has anyone else ignored a family member's warning and regretted it bad?

Bet Uncle Bob bought himself a nice fishing boat with the $4,200 he saved you from wasting on that Chevy. Now you're stuck driving a truck that costs more to keep running than it's worth while he's out on the lake every weekend. Uncle Bob knew what he was talking about, but sometimes you gotta learn the hard way with your own wallet.

My buddy blew his engine ignoring his dad's oil change warnings.
