The sorry note I wrote to my sister after our Boise trip, never sent

We spent a whole weekend in Boise back in March and I got so wrapped up in showing her all my favorite spots that I never asked about her new job once. I wrote her a long apology letter on the flight home but deleted it because I felt dumb admitting I'd been selfish. Has anyone else held onto an apology so long it feels harder to send than the original fight?

Read somewhere that unsent letters are just conversations we're not ready to have yet, maybe just send it anyway.
