The voicemail from 14 years ago I never got to respond to
Found an old flip phone in a drawer last week while cleaning out my garage. Charged it up just for fun. There was a voicemail from my dad from 2011. He called to tell me he was proud of me for sticking with the trucking job. I never listened to it back then because I was mad at him over something stupid, a fight about money I don't even remember now. He passed in 2015. I sat in my truck for 20 minutes just listening to his voice and thinking about all the times I could have called back but didn't. The message was 42 seconds long. I've saved it to my computer now. Anyone else ever find an old message or letter that hit you way harder than it should have?
