Vent: I thought writing an unsent apology to my old boss was self help garbage, then I did it at 1am
My old foreman Dave chewed me out in front of a customer back in 2019 over a busted compressor diagnosis, and I quit the next morning without saying a word to him. For years I figured an unsent letter was the kind of thing people post for likes, not something that actually does anything. Then a rough week in February had me up at 1am writing Dave a two page note in a spiral notebook, and I never mailed it or burned it, just left it in the truck. Reading it back the next day, I realized half of what I wrote wasn't even about him, it was about me being 26 and scared of looking dumb. Curious if anyone here wrote theirs and then actually sent it, because I still can't decide if keeping mine was the right call.
