Wrote my brother an apology in 2019 and rewrote it 11 times before I threw it out
Back in 2019 I wrote my brother a letter about the fight we had over our dad's truck, and I rewrote that thing 11 times trying to get every word perfect so he couldn't twist it on me. Last month I sat down and wrote him a new one in about 20 minutes, no drafts, just plain words about what I did and how sorry I am, and I finally mailed it on Tuesday from the post office on Main. Does anyone else notice that the letters you write fast end up saying more than the ones you polish for months?
