Finally cracked a Bosch error code nobody had seen

Last Tuesday I was on a call in Austin for a dishwasher that kept blinking E15 but the sump was bone dry. The homeowner was ready to junk it, said the last guy wanted $400 for a new control board. I sat there for 20 minutes tracing the wiring harness and noticed a tiny crack in the plastic where the pressure hose meets the tub. A $3.50 repair kit from the local supply house and some dielectric grease later, unit fired up and finished a cycle silent as a mouse. The customer actually laughed and tipped me a twenty, which never happens. Has anyone else run into a machine where the code points one way but the real issue is something dumb and physical like that?
