Found a weird fix for a loud dryer that surprised me

I had this older Maytag dryer that was making this grinding noise that drove me nuts. Took the whole thing apart twice and couldn't find the issue. Turned out the belt was just slightly off track from a worn tensioner pulley I got swapped out at a local parts shop on 5th street. Has anyone else run into a noise that turned out to be something this simple?

Honestly I think you might be mixing up two different problems. A worn tensioner pulley can cause a squealing or chirping sound, not really a grinding noise. Grinding usually points to the drum rollers or the blower wheel rubbing against something. Hope it holds up though, those old Maytags are tanks when they're running right.
