Got a call for a weird fridge noise in a 1970s apartment building downtown
Last Thursday I went to check out a fridge making a loud grinding sound. The tenant said it started after they moved a heavy box in front of it. I pulled it out and found a quarter wedged in the fan blade from the old vented kickplate. It took me about 20 minutes to get it out with needle nose pliers. Has anyone else found strange stuff stuck in those old fan housings?

One time I found a full bag of chips from like three months ago in my work bag. I mean it was totally crushed but still sealed, so I guess that counts. I have no idea how it even got in there, maybe from that one road trip. My bag is basically a black hole for snacks and receipts at this point. I swear stuff just multiplies in the bottom.

A whole sandwich would be an upgrade for my work bag, honestly. I usually just find petrified french fries.
