Got told my dryer vent cleaning was garbage by a customer in Miami

Lady called me out last week. Said her dryer was still taking 90 minutes to dry a load after I cleaned the vent. I was ticked at first. But I went back and checked. She was right. I was only doing the first 6 feet. The rest of the run was packed solid. There was a 4 inch thick clump of lint near the outside flap. Had to pull the whole flex hose out and snake it from both ends. Took me 2 hours but it worked. Now I always check the full run. Who here actually measures airflow CFM after a cleaning?

Whoa, that customer did you a solid by calling you out. A $30 anemometer is the way to go, I started using one after a similar wake up call and it catches weak airflow from hidden blockages every time. Never skimp on the full run, especially that outside cap it's like a lint factory out there.

Bought a cheap anemometer off Amazon for $30, now I test before and after every job. Spot on about checking the full run, that outside cap is always where the real mess hides.
