Heard a guy at the supply house say 'I never check the door switch on a no-spin washer, it's always the motor'

That's a fast way to eat a callback fee. I found a busted switch on a Maytag just yesterday, fixed in 15 minutes. Anyone else got a 'shortcut' you hear that makes you cringe?
