Showerthought: I thought those 'smart' diagnostic apps for fridges were just a gimmick.

Had a Samsung RF28 with a weird defrost cycle issue, and the official app actually pinpointed the faulty sensor in about 2 minutes. It saved me from tearing the whole back panel off on a hunch. What's one tool or method you were wrong about at first?

Figured those thermal cameras for phones were just a toy, but it spotted a cold spot in my wall insulation I never would have found. Guess @victor779 and I both learned not to judge a tool by its cover.

Cold spot in the wall insulation? That's actually huge. My heating bill last winter was insane. Might have to look into one of those phone cameras now.

How much did your bill drop after @knight.dylan found that cold spot?

Thought those were useless too.
