Spent $115 on a bearing puller kit and it paid for itself in one job
Had a front load washer in the shop last month with a shot rear bearing. Normally I would have told the customer it was a junk unit, but they were attached to it and I said I would try. I grabbed a bearing puller kit for $115 because the cheap slide hammer setup I had was mangling the inner race. Took me about 40 minutes to press the old one out and the new one in, versus the two hours of swearing and torch work it used to be. Customer paid $340 for the repair and I have used the kit three more times since then. I am not saying everyone needs one, but if you do a lot of front loaders it changes the whole quote. What is your go to tool that you dragged your feet on before buying?
Man I feel this one. Waited way too long on a decent vacuum bleeder for brakes, kept telling myself gravity bleeding was fine, then finally grabbed one and knocked out a full flush in 15 minutes. Should've bought it years ago lol.
