Spent 6 months cleaning fridge coils wrong before a coworker set me straight

I used to hit those coils with a dry brush and call it a day. Last month a senior tech saw me doing it and pulled me aside - said all I was doing was pushing dust deeper into the condenser. Switched to a proper coil cleaning spray and a wet vac setup and the difference in airflow was crazy. Anyone else have a basic task they did backwards for way too long?

That "pushing dust deeper" part hits hard because I always figured some cleaning was better than none. I was dead wrong on that one, never thought about it that way.

Dead wrong" is wild lol I can't believe I've been making it worse this whole time.

Wait, aren't you supposed to use a duster that traps the dust instead?
